Conference “Youth for Local Democracy”

Conference “Youth for Local Democracy” was held at the “Ani Grand” Hotel within the framework of the “V4 for the involvement of youth in local self-government” program. The Conference hosted 60 young people from all regions of Armenia.

During the Conference, the experience of the Visegrad Four countries in involving the youth in local self-government and the existing activities and programs in the field of local self-government in Armenia were presented, “Local Self-Government: The Main Challenges” and “The Main Problems of Communities and Local Self-Government in Armenia and Increasing The Youth Role In Their Solution” panel discussions took place.

At the end of the Conference, the winners of the Essay contest of the “Visegrad 4 for the involvement of youth in local self-government” program and the authors of the best proposals, as well as the winners of the “Free Citizen” nomination for 2019 and 2020 years were awarded.

The “V4 for the involvement of youth in local self-government” program is funded by the Visegrad International Fund. The program is dedicated to building the capacity of the youth of the regions of Armenia in the field of local self-government.

The Conference is being organized by the “Free Citizen” Civic Initiatives Support Center NGO in close cooperation with the Communities Association of Armenia.
