RIP. Civil Society activist from the Talin city Mihran Asatryan died during the Azerbaijani aggression against Armenia

Mihran Asatryan was a fair-minded and freedom-loving, brave, patriotic, and bright young man. He was the adviser to the mayor of Talin, and the head of the Pro Armenia Non-governmental organization. He was actively involved in the development of Talin enlarged community, the democratization of local society, and the local self-government body.

His last work was the organization of the renovation of the school in Zovasar village, Aragatsotn region, for which fundraising was organized and raised the necessary money from the American Armenian community.

He always supported various civic initiatives aimed at the education and civic development of the youth of the Aragatsotn region, he was always distinguished by his balanced and open-minded approaches, and he enjoyed the infinite love and respect of his friends, employees, and community population.

He went to the wars unleashed by Azerbaijan in 2016 and 2020 as a volunteer and participated in the battles aimed at protecting the civilian population. Also this time, as soon as he heard the news of Azerbaijan’s aggression, he went to the front line and died on the way to the attacked Armenian positions.
