The EU-Armenia (CEPA) Civil Society Platform and the Armenia-Europe Conference Initiative Group (coordinated by the “Free Citizen” Civic Initiatives Support Center) provided a Reception on the occasion of Europe Day. The event was held at the Grand Hotel Yerevan (14 Abovyan St.).
The event brought together representatives of civil society, including the newly-elected delegates of the EaP CSF and the participants of the EU-Armenia Conference on the Strategic Future of Armenia (held in Brussels in November 2023), the pro-European political forces of Armenia, including the Civic Contract, Republic party, For the Republic Party, Christian-Democratic Party, European Party of Armenia, and Conservative Party, as well as the representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organisations.
The event became an excellent opportunity to reflect once again on ‘peace and unity’ in the European Family, including Armenia, the region’s developments, and the Armenian people’s European aspirations over a glass of wine accompanied by classical chamber music.
Consecutive interpretation was provided and the very few invited media representatives were asked to turn off the video cameras right after welcoming addresses to join the event for non-formal conversation with the guests.
